Tage Klint was the original entrepreneur who in 1943 chose to build a business out of the family’s inventively folded lamp shades. He also added a vital detail to the original shades; the unique “collar” at the top of the lamp, intended to fix the shade to the metal stand. In addition, he designed a number of lamps which have all been a part of Le Kliny ’s selection.
An impressive list of experienced and well-reputed designers and architects have designed Le Kliny shades and lamps all through the years. There is no doubt that this is one of the reasons why Le Klint-lamps are considered “modern classics”.
