Different Types of Recessed Lighting

There are many types of recessed housing available today for almost all types of ceilings and installations. From new construction, remodel, IC rated, Air tight IC, shallow, slope ceiling, Line voltage, Low voltage, CFL, Metal Halide, LED….etc No wonder we get confused!

Well, the basic things to remember when choosing a recessed housing is 1) New or remodel, 2) Size …6″, 5″, 4″, 3″, 3) Lamp source or light bulb, 3) IC rated or non IC rated.
