New York’s University Club epitomizes old-guard elegance. With its herringbone oak floors, dark paneled walls, and vaulted ceilings, the club’s 19thcentury library is a neoclassic jewel in a city of perpetual reinvention. We designed Phoenicia to be at home among the library’s fireplaces, philosophers’ busts, and patinated leather chairs. Phoenicia’s handsome design features raised panel details and pedestal-style bases for the candlesticks.
