Recessed downlight housing is the structural part of a recessed light fixture that gets installed inside the ceiling. That holds all the electrical components.

LED Recessed Trims

Recessed trim is the visible outer ring or finish of a recessed downlight. It sits flush (or slightly below) the ceiling and surrounds the light source, giving the fixture its final appearance and often controlling how the light is spread or directed.
